Iguaçu Falls in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. It is part of the larger Iguaçu/Iguazú Falls system, which spans the border between Argentina and Brazil. This magnificent series of waterfalls stretches for nearly 2.7 kilometers (1.7 miles) and is comprised of approximately 275 individual falls, with the most famous being the Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo), an impressive U-shaped chasm that plunges 80 meters (262 feet) into the river below. The surrounding area is lush with subtropical rainforest, which is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including toucans, monkeys, and jaguars.
