Indawgyi Lake Wildlife Sanctuary in Mohnyin Township, Myanmar, is one of the country's most significant natural reserves. Encompassing the largest freshwater lake in Myanmar, Indawgyi Lake, the sanctuary is a haven for a diverse array of wildlife, including numerous species of birds, fish, and other aquatic life. The area is especially renowned for its rich birdlife, attracting birdwatchers from around the world who come to see rare species such as the Sarus crane and the lesser adjutant. The sanctuary also hosts a variety of ecosystems, from wetlands and forests to grasslands, making it a vital area for conservation efforts.
