Janaki Mandir in Janakpur, Nepal, is a stunning temple dedicated to Goddess Sita, also known as Janaki, who is an important figure in the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. Built in 1910 by Queen Vrisha Bhanu of Tikamgarh, the temple is a fine example of Hindu-Rajput architecture with a mix of Mughal influences. The three-storied structure is made entirely of stone and marble and features intricate carvings and colorful decorations.
