Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa, Poland, is a renowned Roman Catholic shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary and is home to the famous icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa. Founded in 1382 by Pauline monks, the monastery has become one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Poland and a symbol of Polish national identity.
