Originally built by the Glaoui family, one of the most influential families in Moroccan history, this kasbah is a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture with its adobe walls and intricate decorations. The structure features a labyrinth of rooms, passageways, and courtyards, offering a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of its former inhabitants. Strategically located at the crossroads of ancient caravan routes, Kasbah Taourirt played a key role in regional trade and politics.
