Katz Castle, known as Burg Katz in German, is a historic hilltop castle located in Sankt Goarshausen, Germany. Built around 1371 by Count Wilhelm II of Katzenelnbogen, the castle overlooks the scenic Rhine River and the charming town below. It served as a strategic fortification to control river traffic and defend against invaders. Despite suffering damage during the Nine Years' War in the late 17th century, the castle was later restored in the 19th century.
