Kitano-chō is a historical district in Kobe, Japan, known for its well-preserved Western-style houses, also referred to as "Ijinkan." These houses were built during the late 19th and early 20th centuries when foreign merchants and diplomats settled in Kobe following the opening of the port to international trade.
