Ko Panyi is a remarkable fishing village located in the Phang Nga Province of Thailand, known for its unique setting and community life. Established in the late 18th century by Indonesian fishermen, the village is built on stilts over the shallow waters at the base of a towering limestone cliff. It is home to around 1,600 people, primarily Muslims, who live in houses elevated above the sea. Ko Panyi features a floating football field, which has garnered international attention, and a vibrant market offering fresh seafood and traditional crafts.
