Kokoda Track

The Kokoda Track, also known as the Kokoda Trail, is a historic and challenging trekking route located in Papua New Guinea. Spanning approximately 96 kilometers (60 miles) through the rugged and remote Owen Stanley Range, the trail is renowned for its significant role in World War II. During the Kokoda Campaign of 1942, Australian and Japanese forces engaged in fierce battles along the track, which became a crucial front in the Pacific Theater.
