Kumana National Park, located on the southeastern coast of Sri Lanka, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and abundant birdlife. Covering an area of about 35,664 hectares, this park is particularly famous for the Kumana Bird Sanctuary, which attracts a plethora of migratory birds between April and July each year. In addition to its avian inhabitants, the park is home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, leopards, and crocodiles. The lush mangrove swamps, lagoons, and scrub forests create a picturesque landscape that supports a wide range of flora and fauna.
