Kyaikthanlan Pagoda is a historic and religious landmark situated in Mawlamyine, Myanmar. Built in 875 AD during the reign of Mon King Mutpi Raja, the pagoda stands on a ridge overlooking the city and the Thanlwin River. It is renowned for its impressive height, reaching approximately 46 meters (150 feet), and is adorned with numerous Buddha images and sacred relics. The pagoda offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a popular destination for both pilgrims and tourists. Its significance is further highlighted by its association with Rudyard Kipling, who mentioned it in his famous poem "Mandalay.
