Langue de Barbarie is a narrow peninsula located in Senegal, stretching along the Atlantic Ocean and forming part of the coastline near the city of Saint-Louis. Known for its striking natural beauty, the area is characterized by sandy beaches, lush vegetation, and a variety of wildlife, particularly birds. The Langue de Barbarie National Park, established in 1976, encompasses this unique ecosystem and serves as a vital habitat for numerous species of migratory birds, including pelicans, flamingos, and various types of terns. Additionally, the peninsula's surrounding waters are home to diverse marine life, making it a popular spot for eco-tourism and bird-watching.
