Lavardin is a charming commune located in the Loir-et-Cher department in central France. Known for its picturesque medieval village, Lavardin is a member of the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France ("The Most Beautiful Villages of France") association. The village is dominated by the ruins of a 12th-century castle, Château de Lavardin, which offers stunning views over the Loir River and the surrounding countryside.
