Limassol Castle, located in the heart of Limassol, Cyprus, is a historical landmark with roots tracing back to the medieval period. The castle is renowned for its connection to Richard the Lionheart, who is said to have married Berengaria of Navarre there in 1191, crowning her Queen of England. The current structure was predominantly built by the Ottomans in the 16th century over the remnants of earlier fortifications.
