Livigno is a picturesque alpine town located in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, near the Swiss border. Nestled high in the Italian Alps, Livigno is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, excellent skiing and snowboarding conditions, and year-round outdoor activities. Often referred to as "Little Tibet" due to its remote and elevated location, the town sits at an altitude of about 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level. Livigno is also famous for its duty-free status, which attracts shoppers looking for bargains on a variety of goods, from electronics to luxury items. In addition to winter sports, the area offers a wide range of summer activities, including hiking, mountain biking, and fishing.
