Madidi National Park in Bolivia is a biologically diverse protected area located in the upper Amazon River basin, in the northwest region of the country. Spanning over 18,000 square kilometers, the park encompasses a wide range of ecosystems, including tropical rainforests, cloud forests, and Andean highlands. This diverse range of habitats supports an extraordinary array of wildlife, making it one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Many species of plants, birds, mammals, amphibians, and insects can be found within the park's boundaries, some of which are endemic and others that are rare or endangered. The park is also home to various indigenous communities who have lived in harmony with the environment for generations, contributing to the preservation of its natural resources.
