Mânăstirea Cozia, located in Călimănești, Romania, is one of the most significant medieval monuments in the country. Founded in 1388 by Mircea the Elder, a prominent ruler of Wallachia, the monastery is famous for its stunning architecture and rich history. The church within the monastery complex showcases a blend of Byzantine and local styles, featuring intricate frescoes and carvings that have been well-preserved over the centuries. The site also holds the tomb of Mircea the Elder.
