Mariehamn is the capital of the Åland Islands, an autonomous region of Finland. Located on the island of Fasta Åland, Mariehamn serves as the administrative and cultural hub of the archipelago. The city is known for its picturesque maritime landscape, lively harbor, and rich history. Established in 1861, Mariehamn features charming wooden architecture, and its streets are lined with linden trees. The town's maritime heritage is celebrated at the Åland Maritime Museum and the historic sailing ship Pommern.
