Mariinskyi Palace in Kyiv, Ukraine, serves as the official ceremonial residence of the President of Ukraine. Designed by the renowned architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the palace was originally constructed between 1744 and 1752 under the commission of Empress Elizabeth of Russia. The baroque-style palace is located on the right bank of the Dnipro River, adjacent to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament building. Over the centuries, Mariinskyi Palace has undergone several restorations, particularly after damage during World War II and a significant restoration completed in 1980.
