Maspalomas Dunes in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Spain, are a stunning natural reserve located on the southern coast of Gran Canaria. This unique landscape spans approximately 400 hectares and features a striking combination of golden sand dunes, lush palm groves, and a serene lagoon known as La Charca. Formed over thousands of years by the action of wind and sea, the dunes create a mini desert environment that contrasts beautifully with the surrounding Atlantic Ocean. The area is not only a popular tourist destination for its scenic beauty and opportunities for sunbathing and camel rides but also an important ecological site, home to a variety of endemic plant and animal species.
