Maus Castle, also known as Burg Maus, is a picturesque medieval fortress located in Sankt Goarshausen, Germany. Perched on a hill overlooking the scenic Rhine River, the castle was constructed in the 14th century by the Archbishops of Trier to assert their dominance in the region. Unlike many other castles in the area, Maus Castle was never significantly damaged or destroyed, allowing it to retain much of its original structure and charm.
