It is traditionally considered the burial site of Huangdi, also known as the Yellow Emperor, who is regarded as a legendary ancestor of the Chinese people and a key figure in Chinese mythology. The mausoleum complex includes a tomb mound, various memorial structures, and ancient cypress trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old.
