Mileševa Monastery, located near Prijepolje in Serbia, is a significant Serbian Orthodox monastery founded in the early 13th century by King Vladislav. Renowned for its stunning frescoes, the most famous of which is the "White Angel," the monastery serves as a testament to medieval Serbian art and spirituality. The White Angel fresco, part of a larger depiction of the Myrrh-bearing Women at Christ's tomb, is considered one of the masterpieces of European medieval art.
