Minuteman Missile National Historic Site in Wall, South Dakota, USA, preserves and interprets the history of the Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system and its role in the Cold War. This site offers a unique glimpse into the United States' strategic defense during a tense period of global politics. Visitors can explore the Delta-09 missile silo, which housed a Minuteman II missile, and the Delta-01 launch control facility, where Air Force personnel monitored and were ready to launch missiles if necessary.
