Mondavio is a picturesque medieval town located in the Marche region of Italy. Known for its well-preserved Renaissance architecture, the town is dominated by the imposing Rocca Roveresca, a fortress built in the late 15th century. The fortress, designed by the renowned architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini, serves as a museum today, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's storied past. Mondavio is also famous for its annual historical reenactment festival, where locals don period costumes and recreate scenes from the Renaissance era.
