Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana is a stunning wildlife sanctuary located in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Covering approximately one-third of the delta, Moremi is renowned for its rich biodiversity and diverse ecosystems, which include mopane woodlands, acacia forests, floodplains, and lagoons. The reserve is home to a wide array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, and a variety of antelope species. Birdwatchers will also find a paradise here, with over 400 bird species recorded. Moremi is unique in that it is one of the few reserves in Africa established by local communities, specifically the Batawana people, in an effort to protect the area from hunting and development.
