The Mosque City of Bagerhat, located in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila, Bangladesh, is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its impressive collection of historic mosques and Islamic monuments. Founded in the 15th century by the Turkish general Ulugh Khan Jahan, the city is a testament to the architectural and cultural achievements of the Bengal Sultanate. Among its most notable structures is the Sixty Dome Mosque (Shat Gombuj Masjid), which is famed for its large prayer hall supported by numerous columns and topped by multiple domes. The city also features several other important buildings, including the Nine Dome Mosque, the Singara Mosque, and the mausoleum of Khan Jahan Ali.
