Mount ʻAlava is a prominent peak located on the island of Tutuila in American Samoa. Rising to an elevation of 491 meters (1,611 feet), it is part of the National Park of American Samoa. The mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of Pago Pago Harbor, one of the world's largest natural harbors. Accessible via a well-maintained trail, the hike to the summit is popular among visitors and locals alike. Along the way, hikers can experience lush tropical rainforests, diverse wildlife, and unique plant species.
