Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve in Ivory Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its unique biodiversity and rich ecosystem. It spans across the borders of Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire, encompassing a variety of habitats from lowland rainforests to savannahs. The reserve is home to numerous endemic species, including the critically endangered Nimba viviparous toad and the Nimba otter shrew. The mountainous terrain, with its highest peak reaching 1,752 meters, provides a range of microclimates and environmental conditions that support diverse flora and fauna.
