Mount Rushmore, located in Keystone, South Dakota, is a monumental granite sculpture featuring the 60-foot faces of four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Designed by sculptor Gutzon Borglum and completed between 1927 and 1941, the memorial symbolizes the birth, growth, development, and preservation of the United States.
