Mount Yasur

Mount Yasur is an active volcano located on Tanna Island in Vanuatu. It stands at approximately 361 meters (1,184 feet) above sea level and is renowned for its almost constant volcanic activity, making it one of the most accessible active volcanoes in the world. The eruptions are typically strombolian, characterized by frequent but relatively mild explosive bursts that eject lava bombs, ash, and volcanic gases. Visitors can often approach the rim of the crater to observe the stunning natural fireworks, although safety precautions are necessary due to the unpredictable nature of the eruptions.
