Mtskheta, located in Georgia, is one of the country's oldest cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It holds immense historical and cultural significance as it was the ancient capital of the eastern Georgian Kingdom of Iberia from the 3rd century BC to the 5th century AD. Mtskheta is renowned for its stunning religious monuments, including the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where the robe of Christ is believed to be buried, and the Jvari Monastery, which sits atop a hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers.
