Muiden Castle, also known as Muiderslot, is a well-preserved medieval fortress located in the town of Muiden, near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Built around 1280 by Count Floris V, the castle features classic medieval architecture with a moat, drawbridge, and imposing stone walls. Over the centuries, it has served various roles, from a defensive stronghold to a luxurious residence and a prison. Today, Muiden Castle operates as a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into its rich history through furnished rooms, historical artifacts, and interactive exhibits.
