The Oaxaca Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, is a stunning example of colonial architecture located in the heart of Oaxaca City, Mexico. Constructed over a period of nearly two centuries, from 1535 to 1733, the cathedral is renowned for its impressive Baroque façade crafted from green cantera stone, a material unique to the region. Inside, visitors can admire an array of beautiful altarpieces, intricate woodwork, and a magnificent pipe organ.
