Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya is a renowned wildlife sanctuary situated on the Laikipia plains, near the town of Nanyuki. Spanning approximately 90,000 acres, it is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including the Big Five—lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. Notably, Ol Pejeta boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and was the last home of the northern white rhinos, with extensive efforts in place to prevent their extinction. The conservancy also features the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which provides a safe haven for rescued chimpanzees.
