Ollantaytambo is an ancient Incan town and archaeological site located in the Sacred Valley of southern Peru. It is renowned for its well-preserved ruins, which include impressive stone terraces, temples, and fortresses that showcase the advanced engineering skills of the Inca civilization. The town itself is a living museum, with narrow cobblestone streets and traditional buildings that have been continuously inhabited since Inca times. One of the most notable features of Ollantaytambo is the Temple Hill, where massive stone structures were constructed with precise stonework, believed to have been used for religious and military purposes.
