Built in the 16th century by Raja Rudra Pratap Singh, the fort complex is situated on an island on the Betwa River and stands as a testament to medieval Indian architecture and art. The complex includes several palaces, temples, and other structures, such as the Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, and the Ram Raja Temple. The Jahangir Mahal, in particular, is known for its intricate latticework, stunning murals, and a blend of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles.
