The Oregon State Capitol, located in Salem, Oregon, serves as the home of the state legislature and the offices of the governor, secretary of state, and treasurer. Completed in 1938, the building is renowned for its distinctive Art Deco architectural style, featuring a prominent cylindrical dome topped by a gilded bronze statue known as the "Oregon Pioneer." The Capitol grounds also include beautifully landscaped gardens, historical sculptures, and a variety of trees and plants native to the Pacific Northwest.
