The Oude Kerk, or Old Church, is the oldest building and the oldest parish church in Amsterdam, Netherlands, dating back to around 1213. Located in the heart of the city's famous Red Light District, this monumental Gothic structure has witnessed centuries of Amsterdam's history. Its impressive architecture features high vaulted ceilings, beautiful stained glass windows, and a grand organ. The church's floor is entirely composed of gravestones, as it served as a burial site for many prominent Amsterdam residents.
