Oviedo Cathedral, also known as the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Saviour, is a stunning example of Gothic architecture located in Oviedo, the capital of the Asturias region in northern Spain. Construction of the cathedral began in the 13th century and continued for several centuries, resulting in a blend of architectural styles, although Gothic is the most prominent. One of its most notable features is the Cámara Santa (Holy Chamber), a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses important Christian relics, including the Shroud of Oviedo.
