Palazzo Regio, also known as the Royal Palace, is a historic building located in Cagliari, the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia. Situated in the Castello district, it served as the residence of the viceroys of Sardinia from the late 14th century until the end of the 19th century. The palace boasts a blend of architectural styles, reflecting various renovations and expansions over the centuries. Notably, it features elegant interiors with richly decorated rooms, including the Hall of the Viceroys, adorned with portraits of former rulers.
