Paracas National Reserve in Peru is a stunning protected area located on the southern coast of the country. Known for its dramatic desert landscapes and rich marine biodiversity, the reserve spans over 335,000 hectares. It was established to preserve the coastal and marine ecosystems, which are home to a variety of wildlife including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and numerous bird species. The area also boasts significant archaeological sites, such as the ancient Paracas culture, which thrived in the region around 800 BCE to 100 BCE.
