Parque del Este, officially named Parque Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda, is a prominent urban park located in Caracas, Venezuela. Covering approximately 82 hectares, it is one of the city's largest and most visited green spaces. The park was inaugurated in 1961 and was designed by Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. It features a diverse array of plant species, serene lakes, and walking trails, making it a popular destination for both relaxation and recreation. Additionally, the park houses a replica of the ship "Leander" used by Venezuelan independence hero Francisco de Miranda, as well as the Caracas Planetarium and a small zoo.
