Pea Ridge National Military Park, located in northwest Arkansas, preserves the site of the Battle of Pea Ridge, a crucial Civil War battle fought on March 7-8, 1862. This battle was significant as it helped Union forces secure control of Missouri. The park spans approximately 4,300 acres and offers visitors the opportunity to explore well-preserved battlefields, historic structures, and interpretive exhibits. A 7-mile driving tour, along with numerous hiking trails, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the history and natural beauty of the area.
