Phou Khao Khouay is a national protected area located in Laos, roughly 40 kilometers northeast of the capital city, Vientiane. Encompassing an area of about 2,000 square kilometers, it is known for its diverse ecosystems, including dense tropical forests, rivers, and waterfalls. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, such as elephants, gibbons, and several species of birds, making it a significant spot for biodiversity.
