Pidhirtsi Castle, located in the Lviv region of Ukraine, is an architectural gem from the Renaissance period. Built in the mid-17th century by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth's Grand Crown Hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski, this sprawling fortress combines elements of a luxurious palace with robust defensive structures. The castle complex includes a church and a beautiful Italian-style garden, and it is surrounded by a moat. Over the centuries, Pidhirtsi Castle has witnessed numerous historical events and has served various purposes, including a royal residence, a military hospital, and a museum.
