Praslin National Park and surrounding areas Important Bird Area in Seychelles is a significant conservation region known for its unique biodiversity, particularly its avian species. Located on Praslin Island, the park spans an area of approximately 330 hectares and features a variety of habitats, including tropical forests and granitic outcrops. The park is home to several endemic species, most notably the Seychelles Black Parrot (Coracopsis barklyi), which is the national bird of Seychelles. Other notable species include the Seychelles Bulbul, the Seychelles Swiftlet, and the Seychelles Kestrel. The park also houses the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its Coco de Mer palms.
