Raglan Castle, located in Raglan, Monmouthshire, Wales, is a grand and historically significant fortress. Built in the 15th century by Sir William ap Thomas and later expanded by his son, William Herbert, the castle displays a blend of medieval stronghold and early Renaissance grandeur. It features impressive defensive structures, including a great gatehouse and massive towers, alongside luxurious residential quarters. Raglan Castle played a notable role during the English Civil War, ultimately falling to Parliamentary forces in 1646.
