The Roman Theatre of Orange, located in Orange, France, is one of the most well-preserved Roman theaters in the world. Built in the early 1st century AD under the reign of Emperor Augustus, it is renowned for its impressive architecture and exceptional acoustics. The theatre's massive stage wall, which stands over 100 feet high, is a distinctive feature that has survived through the centuries. This ancient structure could accommodate up to 9,000 spectators and was primarily used for performances of Roman plays and other public events.
