The Rostov-on-Don Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a prominent Russian Orthodox cathedral located in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. It was originally built between 1854 and 1860 based on the designs of the renowned architect Konstantin Thon, who also designed the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. The cathedral features a striking Neo-Byzantine architectural style, characterized by its large central dome and four smaller domes, all adorned with golden crosses. The interior is richly decorated with beautiful frescoes, icons, and an impressive iconostasis.
